What makes a unit Shiny

Every fighter in a world’s Star pool can roll as its normal version or a Shiny version. Base Shiny odds and Shiny Chance Game Pass

Default Shiny rates are intentionally low. Shiny Chance is a permanent Game Pass that raises those odds across every future hatch, including Auto Hatch sessions described in Auto Hatch. The ideal keeper is both high rarity and Shiny — a Shiny Mythical with solid traits is a long-term account anchor. Until you reach that combo, prioritize Mythical first, Shiny second.

When to invest Gems in Shiny Chance

Buy Shiny Chance when all of the following are true:

• Multi Open is owned so Auto Hatch volume is high
• You have a stable Mythical team for the current world
• You understand trading basics on Trading
• You are not still buying mandatory battle passes

Skip Shiny Chance early if you are struggling on Trials or World 2 content. Extra Equip and battle power passes solve progression walls faster than cosmetic odds.

Trading value of Shiny units

The World 1 trading plaza prices Shinies above their non-Shiny versions, especially for mid-to-high rarities collectors miss on their home banner. Duplicate Shiny Mythicals can fund trades for fighters your Stars refuse to give.

Trading rules of thumb:

• Shiny Mythicals command premium offers; verify traits before accepting
• Shiny Legendaries trade well to collectors but power-creep quickly — do not overpay
• Non-Shiny dupes of meta fighters still move; Shinies add a markup, not a new tier

Reroll discipline — do not waste items on the wrong unit

Trait Rerolls and Stat Rerolls are scarce. The worst spend is rolling a non-Shiny Legendary you will replace after one world transition.

Follow this order from Traits and Stats:

1. Confirm the fighter is Mythical or Secret and worth keeping
2. Prefer Shiny versions when choosing between duplicate Mythicals
3. Apply Trait Rerolls until combat traits match the unit role
4. Visit World 2 Stat NPC only after arrival; spend Stat Rerolls sparingly

If you pull a non-Shiny Mythical and a Shiny Legendary in the same session, reroll the Mythical — not the Legendary — unless you explicitly need the Legendary as a temporary filler.

Shiny hunting workflow with Auto Hatch

Enable Auto Hatch at the Star station, activate any Luck boosts from Codes, and run your battle loop. Shiny rolls happen passively. Shiny Chance passively increases hit rate without extra input.
